About Me

Howdy! My name is Ryder Salinas, and I am a junior at Texas A&M University pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Statistics and Cybersecurity. I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, where I spent much of my time playing basketball and staying up way too late on the PlayStation before discovering a true passion for problem-solving and exploring the unknown. This passion drove me to excel academically and ultimately earn a place as a Cohort VI Gate's Scholar through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, an opportunity that has allowed me to become the first in my family to attend college.

I am motivated by a desire to create progress and make a positive impact through programming. This drive has led me to develop strong interests in areas such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and analytics. Equally important to me is the value of service—I aspire not only to contribute on a large scale but also to give back to my local community and make a lasting difference.

I am excited to continue my journey in computer science and look forward to the opportunities ahead. Feel free to explore my experiences and projects below!
